In Genesis, we read how God created everything in nature including the wind and waves. Throughout the book of Job, he praises God for establishing all of nature. In Psalm 89:9, the writer declares that God rules the raging sea. In Matthew 8:23-27, Jesus calmed the storm. In Mark 4:39, Jesus rebukes the wind. He is on charge of it all. That is why we have been praying for the past ten years- ever since Pray for Pensacola started- that God would protect us from hurricanes. We know that He can and does protect us. As we pray for his protection and will over storms, let’s continue to pray for our region of the panhandle. Let’s extend our prayers into 2019 and out to our neighbors who are still rebuilding. No more destruction!
